I find it important to eat food that is made from unprocessed, fresh ingredients. This makes sense keeping preservatives out and nutrients in.
I was privileged to grow up eating food that was made with great effort every day to taste great. Looking back I know my mom put thought into a properly cooked dinner every week night. And over weekends it was a collaboration between my mother and father of food and meat over a ‘braai’.
Realising how important it is eating all the right food and keeping a good balance between all the different foods. And at the same time realising it is not too difficult or expensive to do so either, I decided to start this blog/website to share some of my food experiences and cooking.
With the recipes I post here, it is related to inspiration I find from other recipes, trying something new, what I have in the fridge and what is easy to put together and taste great at the same time. Other than that I am no expert. Just all my own experiences.
I also enjoy the occasional dining, at restaurants the follow the same philosophy. I share some those experiences here too.
