Ceviche is a very popular restaurant. To get a spot, especially on a Friday night, it is necessary to make a booking a few weeks in advance. Well worth it though!
In the heart of Soho, the restaurant has welcoming, natural, comfortable decor with splashes of bright colour. The food is Peruvian, focusing on seafood, with traditional corn. The food in general, taste so absolutely fresh. Marinated to perfection, which result to a good balance of flavours, a kick of chilli, in each bite you eat.
The dishes are perfect to share on the table. A good way to start off the dinner, is with Cancha, crunchy Peruvian corn and an ice cold glass of good white wine. The meal then consisted of hot marinated mackerel, made with tomatoes, red onion, panda and amarillo chilli, coriander seeds, spring onions, Peruvian olives. Also the Don Ceviche (the main ceviche), made with fresh sea bass ceviche in amarillo chilli, tiger’s milk, limo chilli, sweet potato and red onions. As a ‘side’, the corn and feta cheese savoury cake with Huancaín sauce, avocado, salsa criolla. The best ‘side’ I’ve ever had in my life!
All the flavours, that goes levels deep, with a good white wine was a huge treat. I hope I can go back soon (or visit the sister restuarant…)!
